History is based on a book by John Carlin - «Playing the Enemy: Nelson Mandela and the Game that Made a Nation». Robben Island in 1964 was sentenced to life imprisonment. Nelson Mandela in the performance of Morgan Freeman, in 1990, comes out of prison. Immediately after release, he throws all his strength to fight and support the policy of apartheid against the black majority for the right to participate in the presidential elections in South Africa. He fought not in vain, and already in 1994, Nelson was proud to win elections in South Africa and became the first black president. |
