Now Clint Eastwood is the Commander of the Order of the Legion of Honor


French President, Nicolas Sarkozy, at a ceremony at the Palace Elysee presents Clint Eastwood the Legion of Honor of the third degree (commander). As Sarkozy said, Clint Eastwood, is a "myth, and a giant model of what we admire in American culture." According to Eastwood, it is a great honor for him to accept such a gift. "I love France. I love movies and I like with what respect treat him French people, those were the words of the famous, actor, director and producer Clint Eastwood.

"Second House", that is how Eastwood called France at this ceremony, he spoke only English, but he promised to learn French till the next visit. Sarkozy could not resist to ask Clint Eastwood question about how he's in his 79 years, managed to maintain a good shape for that Clint Eastwood, ironically commented – “It makes you a little bit annoyed”.
